Ingleby Cross
Diane's Famous Flapjacks (on our way out of Ingleby Cross)
On our way over to Osmotherly, we walked through an incredible game farm where dozens and dozens of red grouse were being fed in preparation of the local hunt.
These red grouse sounded like ducks and ran like chickens.
After thinking we were lost (but we weren'), we arrived at Osmotherly, roughly 6.5 hours after we left Danby Wiske, a very boring, completely flat 15 mile day
Osmotherly is a charming little town whose houses all seem to have been built at around the same time (18th century) for the workers in the Flax mills.
The village church
...and grave yard.
The view (a service alley) from our room in The Golden Lion Hotel. We had a very nice meal and appeared to be the only c2c hikers staying there. (A first, but likely to happen more and more, as the c2c season is ending next week.

Thank you for the cows!
